When you choose House of Dhrti, you are not just buying a product. You are supporting dignity, livelihood, and the survival of craft.
What We Believe
Impact, for us, is not a buzzword. It is the reason we exist. We measure success by the stability we bring to artisan families, the continuity of traditional skills, and the trust we build with communities. We work with the same clusters over time so that orders are predictable and relationships are real.
Fair Pay & Dignified Work
We pay artisans fairly and on time. We never haggle on price at the cost of their labour. Our pricing reflects the true time and skill that goes into each piece — terracotta jewellery, dokra casting, madurkathi weaving — so that makers can earn a living without leaving their villages or abandoning their craft.
Craft Preservation
By creating a visible, respectful market for tribal craft, we help keep techniques alive. When young people see that their parents' skills can sustain a family, they are more likely to stay and learn. We also support knowledge sharing within clusters — from senior artisans to the next generation — so that dokra, terracotta, and madurkathi are not lost to history.
Traceability & Transparency
We know where every piece comes from. Our collections are linked to specific regions and, where possible, to artisan groups. We don't hide behind vague "handmade in India" labels; we tell the story of the hands that made your piece. That transparency keeps us accountable and lets you connect with the human behind the product.
Looking Ahead
We are committed to deepening our impact: more clusters, more training support, and more stories. We believe that thoughtful consumption — choosing fewer, meaningful pieces — can be a force for good. Thank you for being part of that choice.
